So this is long overdue. But Tuesday wasn't really the best of anyones game.

This post is dedicated to Sophie. Thanks for coming, playing, and making us all look bad, escpecially Chris...

This is the first time in a long time we played 3 teams. The first teams to play were Ryan's team and Blake's. Only playing to 3 Ryan's team won 3-2. I think this game is most marked by Ryan's too close defense on Blake, ending with a sharp blow to Ryan's right side. But it didn't only happen once, but twice...

Moody's team then went out to do their best against the defending champions. With new speed like the love birds, Sophie and Chris, Moody's team defeated the champions with a score of 2-1. the teams were so evenly matched that the game only went to two.

The final teams game was Blake's vs. Moody's. No one was quite sure on the final score but I believe it was actually 4-3 Blake's team, but who really cares?

Everyones team ends at 1-1

Then a combined team game was played since Buzz and TJ both had to leave during the 3rd game. This game was fun and actually just ended with a game of tackle frisbee. The perfect way to send any ultimater off to have a romantic night on Valentine's Day.

Tuesday is coming up soon, but the weather is not looking in our favor right now. We'll have on hear if we will play for sure sometime Monday night because we know all of you have to coordinate rides.

Varsity team- practices can't be on Thursdays because of some band stuff going on so it is leaning towards Monday night practices with games on Tuesdays. Games are at Heller Park and underclassman can hitch a ride with those who can drive. This will all start after third tri begins.

No cream of the crop because no one was really good. Actually Ryan gets it because he had the crap beaten out of him...

Ryan also has a dvd with a few hints on throwing and catching an ultimate disc. Its a little bit beginner but it helps a lot. Ask him if you want to borrow it a night. However there is a line.

Peace

Yesterday's games were amazing. I'm pretty sure everyone will agree when I say that it was perfect weather. The games itself were not quite as perfect.

The first game was a landslide victory to Matt's team (the team of brothers) with an 11-3 final. That game had too many great catches by Ben and throws by Blake. Defensively I am going to have to say Schroeder dominated with Matt receiving very few tosses.

Then both Nathans arrived...

The second game was a better balanced play with Cole and Blake as captains. Not too many people shined too bright in this game due to the balance, but I think we all agree when we say it was the better of the two games. However, both teams lost many players due to time and that had a major impact on the balance. Cole's team won by only one point I believe, even though Nathan wasn't actually there anymore.

*CREAM OF THE CROP AWARD*

I think this game is really a toss up considering everyone played strong. Yesterday this person gave a little more by bringing down numerous jump passes (most of them in the endzone) as well as shutting down some key players on defense.

This week's winner is.....

We will be playing next week if weather permits. Everyone keep in mind while playing to not "hop" when you throw. This is a penalty which results in turnover of possession from the spot of the foul. Also, if you think you are in the endzone with the frisbee, then declare the point! If you know you are in the don't listen to what the other team is saying! They want you to throw it and hopefully drop it. If it's played then you can't take it back.

To those on the varsity team I think we are going to have practices on Thursdays. Tell Blake or Ryan if this is bad for you.

Peace

Thanks everyone for coming out to tryouts today! Everyone played freaking awesome which is really good and really bad (it's harder to pick a team). Hopefully the team will be posted here and in the school by Monday. Aside from all of the tryouts Frisbee Club will still play Tuesdays at Haikey Creek from 3:30 to around 5:30. If anyone needs rides talk to any senior and we'll try to find you a ride. Also don't forget to tell people to still join. Dues have gone up to $15, but I'm sure we all know it's worth it.
